GOOD NEWS: Siba Mtongana from Siba’s Table

Instantly recognising her star power, Food Network commissioned Siba’s Table s1 in 2013. The series proved to be an instant hit and was in the top 5 titles of the year for Food Network South Africa – a position Siba has retained every year since!

Siba’s Table s1 focussed on giving traditional recipes a completely modern twist and an injection of international flavour. The success of Siba’s Table s1 led to a first for Food Network South Africa, when the show was picked up by the Cooking Channel in the U.S., where it launched in 2014. This milestone made Siba one of the first South African chefs to host a series on a U.S. TV network.

Siba’s Table s2 followed the successful format of series one and was filmed on location in Cape Town at Siba’s Hout Bay family home. Premiering in 2015, the second series featured Siba’s ever expanding gorgeous family, and once again the global foodie phenomenon served up a host of delicious dishes for a variety of occasions.

Following the birth of her third child, and as Siba’s Table s3 was greenlit, Siba published her first cookbook My Table, which has made history as the best-selling cookbook ever to have been stocked by Woolworths SA. With each development, Siba’s status as national treasure and star of Food Network has become firmly cemented.

Siba’s Table s3 was filmed in 2016 and is set to premiere in July 2017. Siba’s Table: Sibalicious! has now been greenlit with filming to commence in April 2017. This brand new series will include Siba taking viewer submitted recipes and giving them a twist to make them Sibalicious! Siba’s Table: Sibalicious! will premiere in early 2018.
