Bestmed Madibaz athlete Kelly Kingwill will be making her first appearance at the World Student Games in Chinese Taipei from August 19 to 30 after her inclusion in the University Sport South Africa delegation for the competition.

Three Nelson Mandela University student-athletes have been included in the University Sport South Africa team to compete in the World Student Games next month.

Bestmed Madibaz field competitors Ischke Senekal (discus and shot put) and Kelly Kingwill (long and triple jump) will join long-distance runner Mariano Eesou in the national squad for the event in Chinese Taipei, which starts on August 19.

They form part of a USSA delegation of 180 sportsmen and women who will be competing in 10 sporting codes at the 29^th edition of the competition.

Madibaz Sport athletics manager Nellis Bothma said it was the first time they had three athletes in the national squad.

“We are very proud of our athletes and this is a great opportunity for them to show what they can do at an international level,” he said.
