Springfield Value Centre wants to send you to Rio de Janiero Carnival

(Durban) – One lucky shopper who spends R300 or more at the Springfield Value Centre between now and January 15, 2018, could win an opportunity to sway to the rhythm of the drums at the Rio de Janeiro Carnival, in Brazil.

The Spring Value Centre marketing team, Megan Sonny & Sashen Moodley showing off acclaimed graffiti artist’s Giffy Duminy work on the repurposed shipping container, where shoppers can “pop in for their virtual reality Rio de Janiero experience” when they enter the competition.

On every reveler’s bucket list, the Rio de Janiero Carnival, is regarded as the biggest party on the planet: Think five days of non-stop dancing, drumming, huge parades and samba battles taking over the streets of this iconic South American city and you have enough to put some buzz into every shopper’s step.

That’s why Springfield Value Centre decided to take the ho-hum out of festive shopping this year. Shoppers who spend R300 or more you are immediately entered into the lucky draw for a trip for two to the greatest celebration of the year – the 2019 Rio Carnival. As a bonus, each day, one lucky winner will also win a R500 centre gift card so they can continue to shop their way to Brazil. Entry forms are available at all stores within the Centre, once completed, place it in the competition boxes available.

Of course, it would be impossible to run a promotion like this without the carnival fun being contagious. So, look out for the reality station, a repurposed shipping container at the entrance to the shopping centre where promoters will provide a first-hand experience of just what it would be like to enjoy a trip to the Carnival in Rio. You can look forward to a virtual reality experience that will be a sneak peek into the country, its culture, sights and sounds by viewing the carnival via a VR headset.

Also getting into the spirit of the Rio Carnival spend and win will be acclaimed graffiti artist Giffy Duminy, whose clients include Nedbank, MR P, Nandos, ZigZag and the Kloof SPCA amongst others. He has sprayed a life-size mural on a virtual reality structure on November 3 and 4. Pop down for a samba in a tin can and enjoy his artistic flair and a little of the summer fun that our winner will experience.

This promotion will continue until January 15th, 2018, so head down to Springfield Value Centre for a carnival vibe with plenty of samba, singing and sequins while standing the chance to win big.
