Our Springboks not only need to be fast on land, but also in the air. And, thanks to their partnership with domestic airline FlySafair, fans can be sure our boys in the green and gold will always get to the game on time!
FlySafair has renewed its sponsorship as domestic airline partner for the national team and SA Rugby for four more years.
As official sponsor, FlySafair will supply our Rugby World Cup champions and SA Rugby with all their local flights in South Africa.
“It is no exaggeration to say that without this partnership with FlySafair SA Rugby’s world-class performance both on and off the field would not be possible. ”SA Rugby CEO Jurie Roux
FlySafair chief marketing officer said Kirby Gordon added:
“We are excited to continue this journey for another four years with SA Rugby and the Springboks, who continue to inspire and unite South Africa through great rugby.”
The sponsorship – announced this week- has been very successful for both FlySafair and the Boks. It will ensure our beefy boys continue to enjoy safe and comfortable flights in and around South Africa.
With many of us still feeling warm and fuzzy about the Boks’ fantastic victory over England in the 2019 Rugby World Cup final in Japan, FlySafair updated one of its Boeing’s branding to green and gold. They used it to transport the team and their prized Webb Ellis trophy around the country.

As the Springboks make their way though the Capital, we here at FlySafair are getting super excited to take them off on their first flight this evening from Joburg to Durbs. We even painted the plane in their honour 🙂 #FlySafair is #StrongerTogether #SpringbokTrophyTour2019
